How to Use an Egg Candler
Set the candler at a convenient height of approximately 84 cm to 112 cm from the floor. Hold and slant the egg with the large end against the hole of the candler. Grasp the small end and use the thumb and tips of your first two fingers to quickly turn the egg left and right.
This method determines the condition of the yolk, white, and air cells. It also detects blood spots, meat spots, and blooding whites. Fresh eggs have visible air space and thin whites. Avoid eggs with blood or meat spots, bloody whites, and cracked shells.
